About Us

Chris McInnes

I believe that there are two schools of thought when it comes to life. Some of us eat to live and others live to eat.

Growing up in the suburbs of Sydney in the 80s and 90s I did not have the exposure to what I would call “good food” – life was very much about eating for survival, not so much enjoyment.

Since moving out of home at the age of 18 I very quickly discovered that there is more to life than the frozen food isle at the supermarket and have embraced a passion for fresh produce and cooking.

Now that I am an old man (well, 30) this website is the diary of my culinary adventures.  A no-nonsense quest for good food and wine in Australia.

All recipes posted are tried and tested (usually on my unsuspecting friends) and all the wine has been personally consumed (a hard job, but someone has to do it!).

You won’t find any food stylists or professional photographers here, just a man and his oven … and if I don’t like the wine, don’t worry, I will let you know!

Regards

Chris McInnes
